Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her leading role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the end of the seventh season the show was canceled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and participates in Passover dinners.
