Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris, born on the 20th of October, 1964 was a prominent American politician as well as a lawyer. She is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is also the first female vice-president and highest-ranking female official of U.S. History, as also the first African American and second Asian American vice president. She is a part of the Democratic Party and was previously the attorney general of California between 2011 and 2017. Additionally she was an United States senator representing California between 2017-2021. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris started her career in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, before being recruited to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and later the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. In 2003 she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. Harris was elected Attorney General of California in 2010. In 2014, she was elected to a second term. Harris was the United States junior senator from California from 2017 until 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Martinez in 2016's Senate election, becoming the 2nd African American woman and first South Asian American senator to be elected to the United States Senate. She was a senator who advocated for healthcare reform and federal de-scheduling cannabis. The path to citizenship for undocumented migrants.
