Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She was secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a CNN political contributor between 2017 and 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaigns in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed as the press secretary's assistant in John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki also worked as director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. 20 Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. [20] The speculations that she was going to replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her hire by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained until the closing of the Obama presidency.
